New Baby, New Mama, New Year!
Well..
i guess i should have write something in here about my pregnany and the delivery experience, but probably it was all too surreal, too complex and deep for me to be put into words..so i guess i`ll probably talk about it later, when my baby is really in a deep sleep and wont need me to pat him on & off to feel secure..:)
em,
i think it was only natural for new mother to feel insecure and very conscious about their body and think of ways to get back to their pre-pregnacy state or less in my case (apart from thinking on how to continue breasfeeding with a cracked nipple, or how to help your baby to stop the irritating hiccup). Afterall, it had been through an amazing journey of stretching and balloning, and pushing and pain..i always imagine myself to have the feet of an elephant during my later period of pregnancy, especially after oncalls..and wish i put more stretch marks lotion..and eat more sensibly..
then i mostly spend my days now in front of the tv, with my favourite magazines, and my favourite new ‘toy’.. and you know what they say about beauty magazine–>they always make you feel more ugly..
so my post today is about feeling great post natally..i dont think it make u less a mother to think about yourself and spend a ‘me’ time once in a while..
so, my new year resolution regarding my body & my health, which i think are reasonable and practical small but useful steps, considering my time, my money and my baby..
1) To drink more water. D
2) Eat more protein, less carb..and start my meal with protein first so i get full
earlier and hopefully eat less..
3) More dark chocolates and less ice cream..
4) Do more weight training and stretching (which is more doable in front of the tv,
without going out to the gym..)
5) Drink less soft drink, more gree tea..
Em, probably will add more to the list..
Oh, by the way, from what i’ve read, baby is actually not disturbed by hiccup, and its harmless..he’s probably wondering why other people is not having hiccup..:)
so dont try any maneuvre to stop the hiccup ok..
ta..!
